To mark the 195th anniversary of the Battle of York York is hosting a day-long school of in 1813, Fort instruction for infantry and artillery re-enactors. Only registrants can attend the morning sessions, but in the afternoon the re-enactors will practice marching and firing on the parade ground inside the fort. All are welcome as observers, so bundle the kids up appropriately and bring them to see how soldiers of two centuries ago moved in formation, fired on command and reloaded for their volley. next DATE:Saturday, April 26, 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm Site, York National Historic LOCATION:Fort York Blvd. enter off Fort COST:Regular admission rates apply
