Festival of Storytelling: STREETCAR WARS: THE BATTLE FOR FORT YORK Come hear how Fort York, nearly a century after U. S. Forces destroyed it in 1813, was almost overrun again. As part of the 30th Annual Festival of Storytelling, Toronto Culture presents in its Fabled City series a recounting of how a streetcar line was planned to be built right through the middle of the fort to the CNE. Chris Cavanagh, a popeducator,writer and graphic artist, ular over will recall the intrigue and battle the scheme that went from the streets Toronto to City Hall, and from of Queen’s Park all the way to Parliament Hill.
